Having had Dreads for Seven years and always imported my products from the states or purchased from other UK sellers, it was late on a spring day that inspiration hit me smack in the face.

"Why don't we produce Dreadlock Products in the UK?" i found myself asking and truth by told i could not find a satisfactory answer.

I got on the phone with some of my dreadie friends and after making a few plans decided the only thing to be done was to try making our own Dreadlock soap.

We spoke to lots of soap makers, cosmetic producers and voodoo men before finally settling for a small UK based soap maker who agreed to make us a trial batch of Dreadlock soap.

Our brief was simple, we wanted a nice, natural soap which cleaned dreadlocks, prevented dandruff and aided dreading process. Our soap maker was confident they could make a soap formula to suit our needs and it was with some excitement that we received our first trial batch of soap.

As soon as we got the soap we sent samples to all our dreadie friends, as well as getting some of our (now stockist's) to trial it and give it to their customers to trial. We gathered all the feedback and went back to the drawing board.

After a bit more to and through between the soap makers and the feedback that we had received we perfected our formula and in June 2009 the first uk produced dreadlock soap bar was launched and with it Dread Fusion.co.uk
